Goals

• Develop statistical algorithms to smooth mass-frequency curve and determine the bin width.
• Software improvement (short term): develop and implement a simple and effcient method for smoothing and determination of width
• Research (long term): facilitate statistical methods to improve smoothing and determination of width. Implement approved methods.

Algorithms

• Software improvement: smoothing high-frequency peaks, such as peaks with 6 or less shifting units; determination of width is still in research.
