Wavelet-Based Techniques for fMRI Data Analysis
Minchun Zhou, PhD Candidate, Department of Biostatistics
Vanderbilt University, School of Medicine
In neuroimaging, there are two main categories in neuroimaging, structural imaging and functional imaging. Functional imaging became popular in recent years with the development of new engineering and statistical tools. Functional magnetic resonance imaging(fMRI) is one of the procedure in functional imaging. Compared to other methods, fMRI has excellent spatial resolution and good temporal resolution. Wavelet transform is a mathematical tool with many advantages in fMRI data analysis. In this talk I will introduce Some existing statistical methods using wavelet transform in fMRI data analysis. I will also discuss my under-working research using double-wavelet transform in ROI-based Block Design fMRI Data Analysis.
