What’s It Like To Be A Statistician On A Platform Trial During A Pandemic? My ACTIV4a Experience

During the COVID-19 pandemic, “platform” trials such as RECOVERY, REMAP-CAP, PRINCIPLE, and ACTIV were essential in accelerating evidence generation by allowing us to concurrently test more than one potential COVID-19 treatments within a single trial infrastructure. However, they bring some unique challenges in design, execution, and dissemination. Dr. Althouse will share some practical experience and unexpected challenges encountered during his time as trial statistician for the ACTIV-4a platform.
