Visual Pruner: Visually guided cohort selection for observational studies
Using the app online (free)
The online app is temporarily unavailable. I am hoping to fix the problem soon. In the meantime, please run the app on your local machine instead (see below).
Running the app on your local machine (also free; useful for large or secure datasets)
I am hoping to release an R package soon, which will make this easier. In the meantime, here are the steps you need to follow to run Visual Pruner in RStudio:
- Follow the link above to start Visual Pruner in your browser.
- Click on the "R" tab.
- Make sure you have all of the packages listed in the "R session information" panel.
- Copy the contents of the "server.R" panel, and save the file as "server.R" on your machine.
- Copy the contents of the "ui.R" panel, and save the file as "ui.R" on your machine, in the same directory as your new server.R file.
- Do the same thing with "plottingFunctions.R", "psFunctions.R", and "smdFunctions.R".
- Open the server.R or ui.R file in RStudio, and click the "runApp" button.
Or you can use the
runGitHub()
function from the
shiny
package, with arguments
repo= "VisualPruner", username= "LaurenSamuels"
.
