(Updated for Firfox 1.0) Using Xemacs to Edit Web Pages in Twiki

  • Launch mozilla-firefox
  • Go to http://www.extensionsmirror.nl/index.php?showtopic=70
  • Right-Click on the Install link and select Save Link As to save MozEX_1.0.7_rep.xpi to your hard drive.
  • Open MozEX_1.0.7_rep.xpi by selecting File -> Open File
  • Click Install Now after the Extension Manager window pops up.
  • Restart Firebird
  • Select Tools -> Extensions and double-click on MozEx
  • Specify /tmp as the temporary file directory
  • Under Textareas type gnuclient %t (see http://mozex.mozdev.org for more information)
  • To edit a Twiki page, make sure that Xemacs has been launched. Click on the Edit button then right-click in the textarea. The text will be sent to an Xemacs buffer. Edit and click Done when finished.
  • Click anywhere in the textarea to see the changes take effect

  • Scroll to Configuration, click MozEX, Install (to your local profile)
  • Restart Firebird
  • Select Tools -> Options -> Extensions and double-click on MozEx
  • Specify /tmp as the temporary file directory
  • Under Textareas type gnuclient %t (see http://mozex.mozdev.org for more information)
