---+++ (Updated for Firfox 1.0) Using Xemacs to Edit Web Pages in Twiki * Launch =mozilla-firefox= * Go to http://www.extensionsmirror.nl/index.php?showtopic=70 * Right-Click on the =Install= link and select =Save Link As= to save *<nop>MozEX_1.0.7_rep.xpi* to your hard drive. * Note: Under Firefox 1.0 RC2 on Mandrake 10, restarting Firefox at this point was all that's needed for installation. If you did not get <noc>MozEX automatically installed, do the next two steps. * Open *<nop>MozEX_1.0.7_rep.xpi* by selecting =File -> Open File= * Click =Install Now= after the Extension Manager window pops up. * Restart Firebird * Select =Tools -> Extensions= and double-click on =MozEx= * Specify =/tmp= as the temporary file directory * Under =Textareas= type =gnuclient %t= (see http://mozex.mozdev.org for more information) * To edit a Twiki page, make sure that =Xemacs= has been launched. Click on the =Edit= button then right-click in the textarea. The text will be sent to an =Xemacs= buffer. Edit and click =Done= when finished. * Click anywhere in the textarea to see the changes take effect -- Main.JeffreyHorner - 06 Jan 2005<br>-- Main.FrankHarrell - 07 Jan 2005 ---+++ (For Firefox < 1.0 and Mozilla) Using Xemacs to Edit Web Pages in Twiki * Launch =mozilla-firefox= * Select =Tools -> Options -> Extensions -> Get New Extensions= * Scroll to =Configuration=, click =MozEX=, =Install= (to your local profile) * Restart Firebird * Select =Tools -> Options -> Extensions= and double-click on =MozEx= * Specify =/tmp= as the temporary file directory * Under =Textareas= type =gnuclient %t= (see http://mozex.mozdev.org for more information) * To edit a Twiki page, make sure that =Xemacs= has been launched. To fix this, specify the full path to the executable from the mozex preferences (like /usr/bin/gnuclient).
