Faculty and Staff may have access to two sources of funds to meet their professional needs. These are
Departmental development funds and discretionary funds distributed by the Chair. The use of these funds are restricted by Departmental policies described in PolicyPurchasing
Funds that the faculty of staff member have earned through extra work or through the Faculty Awards program. Examples of such funds would be those earned as a teaching assistant or from CTSA vouchers. The rules on spending these funds are the same as those for the Faculty Research Reward program; see ResearchRewardPolicy
Note that there are restrictions on how at least 55% of instructor income must be used
