How to Add Your Picture Onto the Homepage in 4 Easy Steps:
- Have a picture of yours some where in your computer: If you do not have, use the one Claudia took for us, see OurPeople.
- Click "Attach image or document" the bottom of your personal page to upload. Locate your picture through "browse".
- Then you will see the picture at the bottom of your page. To move it elsewhere, go to edit, scroll down, find the newly created sentence
<img src="/wiki/pub/Main/HowtoBuildHomepage/filename.JPG"
alt="filename.JPG" width="240" height="180"/>
at the bottom, and move that sentence to where-ever you like your picture to be, say, the top.
- You can also change the size of the picture by altering the numbers following "width=" and "height=".
- It's best to use the
convert
program to resize the image to the desired size to make it load quicker, rather than having width
and height
do the bulk of the work.
