Elizabeth Heitman, PhD

Associate Professor, Center for Biomedical Ethics and Society, Vanderbilt University Medical Center

Wednesday, March 9, 1:30-2:30pm, MRBIII Conference Room 1220

In July 2010, 340 individuals from 51 countries participated in the Second World Conference on Research Integrity in Singapore. One major outcome of the WCRI2010 was the Singapore Statement on Research Integrity, the first international effort to encourage the development of unified policies, guidelines and codes of conduct, with the long-range goal of fostering greater integrity in research worldwide. The March 9th Biostatistics Seminar will explore the origins and content of the Singapore Statement and consider its applicability in biostatistics generally and biostatisticians' growing role in international research collaborations more specifically.
