The following is simply a reminder of continuing NIH and NICHD policies about acknowledging support. Thanks for observing these policies.

Acknowledging VKC Research Support

As a VKC Investigator, you may call upon the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center’s common-use core research support facilities and resources. The NICHD, our funding agency, requires that all publications, posters, and oral presentations include a formal acknowledgement citing the support of NICHD grant # P30HD15052.

Investigators: Use the following statement if your grant is included in the Center’s P30 grant. If you need to verify whether your grant is included, email linda.dupre@vanderbilt.edu.

This research was supported by [your grant number] and NICHD Grant P30HD15052 to the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center for Research on Human Development.

Members: Although not required, identifying yourself in publications, posters, presentations, or in interviews as a member of the VKC is greatly appreciated; for example:

The author appreciates [type of support, e.g., statistical analysis] from the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center for Research on Human Development.

NIH Disclaimer Statement

NIH is now requiring investigators to add the following acknowledgement with disclaimer on “each publication, press release, or other document that cites results from NIH grant-supported research”:

The project described was supported by Award Number XXXXXXXXXXXXX from the XXXXX [the specific funding Institute/Center, not NIH]. The content is solely the responsibility of the authors and does not necessarily represent the official views of the XXXXX [funding Institute/Center] or the National Institutes of Health.

VKC: If you have any questions, Linda Dupré (linda.dupre@vanderbilt.edu) or Jan Rosemergy (jan.rosemergy@vanderbilt.edu) can assist you.
