Biostatistics Weekly Seminar

Vanderbilt’s Institute for Clinical and Translational Research (VICTR) serves the research community as a centralized resource and catalyst. VICTR brings together basic scientists, clinical investigators, community-engaged researchers, informatics and biostatistical expertise, and administrative and regulatory acumen to facilitate and transform the conduct of transdisciplinary team science. We strive to foster a culture where the methods and means for rigorous learning and exploration are empowered and accessible to all. From pilot funding to specialized clinics and studios, VICTR champions investigator start-up and collaboration. VICTR maintains and administers an array of research-enabling resources that exploit economy of scale and allow access to data that are clinical, genetic, imaging, and more. Intentional dissemination and community engagement is not only supported but highly encouraged. VICTR is also consistently focused on the innovation required to systematically embed research within the fabric of the VUMC healthcare enterprise. In this seminar, we’ll feature a number of these efforts and highlight opportunities for biostatisticians.
