Under the guidance of the director, the ideal candidate will independently manage administrative affairs for the graduate program by:
Interacting with professors and students
Developing, monitoring and reporting on the graduate program budget
Managing the program’s calendar and the director’s calendar
Maintaining student records
Writing graduate program policies. This function also includes communicating, implementing, interpreting, and revising policies and procedures as appropriate
Composing letters and drafting letters for Director
Setting and attending graduate program meetings
Setting and distributing meeting agendas and minutes
Maintaining program web page and interfacing with the graduate school
Assist in tracking and monitoring financial and budgetary information
Developing/maintaining contract administration, which may include contracts for services and/or vendors
Grants Administration
The ideal candidate will provide grants and contracts administrative support and assist with grant administration for grants throughout the department.
