Brief Biography

Andrew is an Assistant Professor of Biostatistics at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He received his Ph.D. in Biostatistics from the University of Washington prior to completing a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. His research interests are primarily centered on the integration of causal inference methodology into fields such as pharmacoepidemiologic association studies, cost-effectiveness research, and preliminary HIV vaccine trials. Other research interests include the proper design, conduct, analysis, and interpretation of clinical studies; methods to diagnose and monitor disease; and risk factor identification.
